Run, Jump, Skip and Play

Last night, I got off work a couple hours early and was able to make it home in time to go to a bon fire at one of Nathan's coworkers homes. Let me just start by saying, what a wonderful, beautiful earth God has given us! I love fall and the drive through a portion on the Jefferson Memorial forest was spectacular! Even the boys noticed and stated how beautiful the trees were.

This was the first bon fire that the boys had been too, and they were so excited. Max, my little pyromanaic, was mesmerized at the fire. He kept wanting to put sticks on it, and tried to get reeds of gass to burn. He "helped" keep the fire going by blowing on it. It was funny. The boys also had glow stick swords and flashlights of their very own. What more could you ask for? Fire, Glow Swords and Flashlights. Life is good.

Seeing my boys run and play and roll down the hill and chase each other and the other children there, made me thankful for the health of my children. I worked in the ER yesterday and comforted a mother weeping over her very ill child. It pained my heart to know the love that that mother has for her child and to be so helpless. I am thankful for my precious family. The ability for my children to run and play and learn. For their sweet spirits. Their ability to ask 10 million questions and why's. I'm most thankful for the love that God has for us as His chilren. How it must pain his heart when we are ill, or sin, or turn away from Him.

Thank you God for life, love, children, families. Lord I am so greatful for health and wealth and many blessings. Thank you for the beauty of the earth and the season changes. We are longing for the new earth, when everything will be made new and beautiful and death will be no more. Thank you Lord, for everything. Amen

I'm giving blogging another go! I think that it goes without saying, that three kids can turn your world upside down. I thank God for the blessing of our precious daughter, but juggling three kids under five has defiently been a challenge. I'm loving every minute that I spend with these awesome kids. They have taught me so many things and for those I am thankful. We are on a journey to teach and grow in Christ's love. We hope that this blog will be a window into the journey that we are on.

Today I'm thankful the messy house that I have. The house that keeps us safe and warm. the clothes that are clean and ready to be folded that God has provided us with many clothes to wear. the shoes that trip me that symbolize that I have healthy children that run and play. Dirty dishes that we are well feed. Toys that we are richly blessed. And most of all for the mess, that means I'm not to busy to sit in the floor and play, that I was a helper at Max's Halloween party at school, that we went to toddler storytime and the precious memories we are making. My kids may remember that our house was always a mess, but it is my priority that they know that they are loved and mom is never to busy to make time for them.

thank you God, for messy houses, thank you for the family that we have. The loving home that you have given us. Thank you Lord for entrusting these amazing children to us. You have blessed us beyond measure. Remind us that all we have is yours and help us to honor you with it. Amen.

Pictures to come!
